Pros

There's a good friendly family feel to the company and a great working environment - spacious, bright, modern, music playing. Products are of a very high standard with strong customer care and pride in what is being sold. I've always personally found the management team to be approachable and supportive and have formed good relationships with staff across all departments. Everyone pulls together during very busy periods to help take the pressure off. There's flexibility with personal appointments / making up time which really helps at short notice and a diverse range of age and experience across staff with everyone bringing something different to the company.

Cons

Previous issues with lack of respect for senior members of staff has had a negative effect on the atmosphere within the company at times. This is unfortunate as a more mature and direct approach from those with the issues would have eliminated the problems faster. Layout of workplace does mean that there is a bit of a separation between machinists and 'office' staff / management. Social events and mixed lunch breaks have helped with getting everyone to mingle and get to know each other.

Pros

I've worked in several factory / workshops over my 30+ years of being a seamstress and I've never come across such a nice working environment, it is by far the cleanest, most organised factory I've worked in and I'm surrounded by some really lovely people.

Cons

I would like a little more variety but I'm learning new products gradually. It is quite fiddly work which takes some getting used to as does the hand finishing, but I've come from a factory making soft furnishings rather than smaller accessories.
