      Pros

      I worked at one of the magazines. People there were great. Work was ok. Salary was awful. Overtime was the only way to make a decent living. Plenty of opportunities to write if you're proactive though. A good foot-in-the-door place to work.

      Cons

      Biggest negative is the money. And it can be very difficult to move up. But publishing in general is pretty difficult these days so I don't really fault the company.
