Pros

Management here cares very little about your background or degree. The CEO and Office Manger (essentially the COO) have an uncanny ability to find talent and grow that talent. IF you are willing to leave your pride at home and follow the tutelage that is provided, you will come out far more for the better. You have the ability to wear a multitude of hats and, even better, management allows you to select these. Failure is not punished, but rather trained away.

Cons

Due to the many hats that are worn, it can be difficult to know which priorities should truly be priorities.

Pros

The company is small enough that every employee's actions and inactions have a major impact. What you do here matters. If you want to grow professionally, this is a fantastic place for people who can self-motivate and self-learn. Co-workers are friendly (but not annoying) and everyone helps one another out. Leadership is laid back, does not micromanage, and relies on you to self-manage effectively... but provides enough coaching (not managing) and direction that you don't feel lost.

Cons

People who might have trouble prioritizing their own time, keeping themselves motivated, paying attention to detail, genuinely and positively interacting with customers and coworkers, or those who lack honesty, discretion, or empathy likely won't find a good fit here. Nobody at this company will babysit you, provide you with a daily list of "to-do's", or otherwise hinder your personal and professional growth. How many "perks" you get (like how late you can come in) are directly related to how hard you work. The people who come in late are the same people who are at the office until 8 or 10 pm the night before. If you leave early in the day, you are expected to come in early (or at LEAST show up on time).

Pros

The TimeForge team is fun and likable. Everyone really knows their stuff and experts. The company really gives young and starting professionals an opportunity to distinguish themselves and build their resumes. The office regularly has outings, parties and meetings are casual and fun while working toward clear solutions. Management values smart thinking and looks for innovation from its staff. You aren't just a "cog" here and you are encouraged to bring all ideas forward for improvement.

Cons

The schedule is unpredictable. Since it's a small team, it's often "all hands on deck" to fix a problem and this diverts everyone from their normal workflow. There wasn't a dedicated customer service staff, so everyone spent more time on the phone with customers than coding, sales, designing or whatever their job was. Management is nice, constructive 90% of the time, but can be critical without constructive feedback sometimes. The pay was lower than typical in the tech field nationwide, but pretty livable given the low cost of living in Lubbock.
