Pros

Flexibility and a trust-based culture which is good. People are friendly and some great humour across the group, Very talented people in pockets.

Cons

It’s absolutely a culture of yes, and often the leaders say yes to everything and anything without doing any work to plan and scope to understand what value it will drive. As a result, business is very distracted by the latest thought bubble/random idea, whatever they see as the next thing that will deliver results, without figuring out what that ‘thing’ will deliver. More often than not after dedicating a huge amount of resource to it at the expense of everything else, that ‘thing’ then just fades away without being measured or understood, nothing learned, often more damage done, and onto the next. The foundations are lacking to succeed. Basics like processes- cross functional, cross country/region, even within teams are non existent or exist solely within siloed teams, with nothing to connect the work across departments to elevate it, take it to market effectively and give it a chance to work. This makes working remotely cross functionally pretty much impossible. Because there are no clear processes there are so many people working on so many things at every stage of the project. People stepping on others toes, no accountability, no focus or clarity. If you’re motivated by outcomes or momentum or getting things done, this will be a tough gig.

Pros

- Original team I was in was a great opportunity - Got to help improve processes and launch some great work out - The training budget was a massive positive to my experience - Customer base is fun to work on and has a great response when reaching out to them

Cons

- Management and proces was messy and had some who were full of ego - Manager wanted to claim credit for the work I did - Next team I moved too wasn't open to new ideas and became unberable
