Long working days, isolated working long days alone, poor quality materials, high expectations to drive sales out of towns over saturated with Timpson shops. Lack of progression opportunities. Big distances between shops, get a phone call or text that morning and expected at short notice to drive over 100 miles in a day. Adding several hours driving onto a 9 hour working day. Out dated work practices. No lunch break, meant to have a "working" lunch Poor pay structure. Found a trainee was on same pay as me, I have over 8 years experience, he was in the job 16 weeks. Most shops have no facilities, no running water and no toilet. Can only book holidays as a week at a time. You cannot use just one day off, can only take them as full weeks.
