Pros

Unlimited pto Pretty trusting colleagues

Cons

Definitely not focused internally on leadership development the way they preach. Some people in senior manager levels and up have no actual interest in the company mission and it's a joke that they are the ones who get promoted because they play the political corporate BS.

Thank you so much for your feedback. While I do sense that everyone at Torch is committed to the growth and development of our people, I also realize that there is a lot more we can be doing to formalize our systems and take development to the next level. A big part of my job is to make sure we are truly Customer Zero for our product and best in class when it comes to developing our people. I have so many ideas, and would love to hear yours too! For better or for worse, there are some baseline needs my team has to focus on first, so you probably won’t feel major changes until later in the year. I can’t wait to see what we can do together!

Pros

Energized remote-first startup with innovative employees typically coming from great tech experience backgrounds. Mentorship and professional development is a priority for the team, and leadership tried to stay fairly connected with employees below them. Collaboration is innovative and dynamic with room for trial/error and brainstorming — definitely a fun place to work!

Cons

Reduction in force and uncertainty of what's to come. Lack of in-person touchpoints.

Pros

It gives a good exposure to coachees if you are looking for experience. That's all.

Cons

They have gone through changes in the management and they don't apply the coaching etiquette, values, communication systems to their coaches. They are cut throat, take a big cut, pay very little for high level coaches, and now have employees that are not educated to handle conversations, discuss questions, they are dismissive, and ironically for a coaching company, they are another cold corporation.
