Pros

Flexible working arrangement, WFH 2-3 days a week.

Cons

I worked in Marketing at the National Support Office in North Melbourne, and my time there was incredibly stressful. Constant changes upon changes in design work make it nearly impossible to keep up or spend long enough on anything to do it well. My manager there was not supportive and would regularly add to the difficulty, and not be receptive to feedback. The head of marketing there was what made my experience working there truly intolerable. A loud, crass presence, he has no regard for creating a respectable working environment, makes crude and inappropriate jokes, and takes serious liberties with his behaviour during company events. This is not uncomment among the upper management, and I overheard some truly disgusting disparaging comments said by these senior members of staff. They do not set a good example at all. The HR department are unhealpful. I reported a case of sexual harrassment in the workplace, and they took little to no action, which made me feel too uncomfortable to continue working there.

Pros

If your a student needing a job this is a great place, from my experience they are very helpful in giving you shifts you need while still giving you time off for studying. The teams you can work with are amazing everyone i work with are great. the job is easy to pick up and learn despite some challenges I've faced

Cons

while i love the job i have to admit there are challenges, the inventory system is very confusing and can be hard to navigate, there is no proper training on it, its very off the cuff and learn as you go, this can lead to alot of problems when you first start, Upper management can also be tough to deal with, its hard to know sometimes when you do something if you allowed to do it, and only find out your wrong once it becomes an issue. your always told to call someone when you need help but also get told that its annoying to be called when your not working, this can lead to stressful moments when you want to call for advice but you also don't want to annoy someone on their day off. this inevitably causes you to inform customers to come in on days when the said employee is in next which can annoy customers, I think Total Tools can benefit from making clear training guides on the Pronto system for employees to refer back to, also clearer guides and definitions for refund policies and exchanges that make it easy for a customer to interpret. but despite these Cons i still recommend the job
