Pros

No comment. None. Zip. Nada

Cons

Extremely toxic working environment. Condescending and typically just gets rid of engineers when projects are over. Spent tremendous amount of money on "leadership training" but cut all of employees' benefits. Always speaks ill about clients and other companies behind their backs. Extremely high turnover rate. Hires all family members, so it really is a "family". Inconsistent in company policies, only applies when benefitting the company. Do yourself a favor and do not associate.

Total Validation Services Response

I am sorry to hear that you had a regretful experience with TVS. While I am unclear who had created this posting, I am fairly certain that we did not have a direct discussion about your concerns, and I truly wish that we could have had a conversation about these issues in person. I will take this opportunity to address the comments here and hope that you see this response. Regarding your comment about “gets rid of engineers when projects are over,” it is important that I share that TVS primarily employs full-time, salaried engineers. We've prided ourselves on being a company that maintains a consistent team and does not simply hire for a project and lay engineers off when a project is over. We all were impacted by the industry-wide slowdown that started in 2023. TVS kept our salaried team members employed as long as we could, waiting for new projects to materialize. For many, this meant well over 4 months of paid time with no billable work, as we experienced delays in client projects month over month. These efforts to retain employees without them being productive on client work was an investment by TVS (agreed to by its owners), with the intention of retaining as many strong talented team members as possible. We retained people as long as we financially could and had to make some difficult decisions in late 2023 in order to maintain the viability of the company. Regarding the mention of spending money on leadership training, TVS certainly does invest in our leadership team in order to grow and develop the skills and company culture that has made TVS a successful business for over 30 years. Contrary to perception, this investment was made without impact to any employee benefits. There were no benefit cuts for TVS employees, and TVS still provided year-end bonuses and profit sharing to our team. I can confirm that both owners work within the company and can acknowledge that we have employed relatives; however, we hold everyone within the company to the same standard of performance without preferential treatment or favoritism. I am unclear on the comments regarding company policies and a HR/Legal department, I can confirm that TVS has a full set of company policies that we constantly review, refine, and improve upon, and we do have formal HR and Legal roles within the company.
