Pros

You'll do well here if you're male, a former D2/D3 cross country runner, and have a trust fund or spouse to rely on. There are few pros aside from being employed.

Cons

Low pay, few benefits, unqualified upper management. The company has the potential to grow and succeed, but leadership's resistance to change and/or hire experienced professionals is hindering progress. Upward mobility doesn't exist. Tracksmith would rather hire someone from another running company than develop internal talent. It's disheartening to work here knowing you're undervalued and won't have the opportunity to grow.

Pros

Everyone is nice, management is good, people tend to stay for a while, almost all the employees run which makes it easy to talk to and befriend coworkers, working there is fun and usually not too stressful, and we get a pretty good stipend each quarter.

Cons

The only con is the employee discount isn't great compared to other stores I have worked at.

Pros

Built by runners, for runners, and you feel it from day one. The people are serious about the sport, there’s an unspoken fluency in the building that’s hard to find anywhere else, and nobody blinks when you slip out for a lunch run. There’s a quiet pride in contributing to something the running community has genuinely earned its trust in.

Cons

The compensation falls short. Hard to reconcile the premium positioning on the outside with what lands in your bank account. The deeper frustration is direction. Priorities shift without context, communication breaks down at the moments it matters most, and there are stretches where it’s genuinely unclear what the company is running toward. No structured development, no clear progression. You’re on your own to find the course.
