High turnover of staff due to negative management skills. Staff treated in demoralizing and punitive manner, like benefits and special perks being taken away. Staff either pushed by design to the point they cannot be effective and then punished for it, or their leadership responsibilities and assignments are taken away. Little positive feedback. Residents pick up on this and suffer. Staff and residents alike not listened to, punished, threatened with notes in their files. Even residents afraid to complain for fear they will be asked to leave for interfering with the harmonious living clause in their contract. Employees not recognized for their accomplishments and criticized and punished for their shortcomings. Job descriptions and duties not clear, so work gets dumped on whoever complains the least in a somewhat random fashion. There seems to be a design to remove any employee who has an open, genuine, respectful interpersonal relationship with residents. Residents and employees have spoken to upper management at TA with no results. If employees suffer from anxiety and stress, and sorrow from seeing their coworkers treated badly, things are not going to go well. Obviously residents pick up on this, and the entire environment is one of low morale. The overarching fear is that no one will want to buy into Parkshore because they will learn from staff and residents that it is not a good place to be at present. This transition from a small boutique community where most everyone got along, and people enjoyed coming to work changed when Big Marketing was brought in and everything changed from homey to glossy and commercial.
