Pros

Management was caring and diligent. The larger corporation, Leisure Care, really has a stake in making this work and higher ups are always there from Seattle to learn everyones names and encourage the team. Really unique perspective on retirement living.

Cons

This is new, so there are still some kinks being worked out. Be ready to deal with the emotional ups and downs of working with elderly.

Pros

The residents are what made my job worth it for me. I loved all of them as surrogate grandparents and they were generally a pleasure to work for. Because Treeo focuses on an active life style, there are plenty of fun activities for you to participate in with the residents. Participation is key, if you try have fun, the residents will too.

Cons

Every location is different, but where I worked, there was very little teamwork and clear communication. It often felt like every man and woman for themselves, which made it hard during events when there was a lot of people to care for. I know it's hard for some people, but you must put your heart out there for the residents. They are someone's mother/father/grandparents, and often times they are lonely/in pain/tired/etc. What makes this a con, is they can be harsh with their criticism at times. Try not to take it personally while still caring for them, and you'll be fine!

Pros

good company with good ethics and values. Fun people and the company does promote fun and trying new things. Managers are good, corporate office is helpful and supportive, lots of growth potential in this company.

Cons

Health insurance premiums are costly and coverage is mediocre. Pay is decent, but not great and less than some others in the industry.
