Pros

The company is small and has a fun, young relaxed atmosphere which is nice. No need to dress up for work.

Cons

Let me start off by saying that most of the (young) people they hire at this company all start out as interns. The intern has to work full time, 40 hour weeks. They are expected to be in at 9 and leave at 5 - HOWEVER, you are only paid $1000 a month. Do the math - it's less than minimum wage. Secondly, the papers you fill out for tax purposes when you are hired are papers that are meant for contractors. What does this mean? This company is hiring you as a contractor instead of a full time employee. First off, this is not legal because they are telling you how many hours you have to work each week and 'contractors' are supposed to pick their own hours to get the job done. Secondly, this means you have to pay your own taxes come tax season (for me, it was $500)...are you kidding? If and when they decide to hire you full time after your internship is done, they wont be paying you much. Full time beginning salary is 32k. One of my co-workers at this company got promoted (after about a year) but with no raise - NONE. Lastly, the work that you will be doing is so boring, mundane and repetitive that it's not worth it. You will NOT be learning real SEO practices because they have the teams in this office split up into the "content team" and the "tech team" - interns/new hires will most likely be on the content team doing mindless content assignments and link building. The tech team does the real SEO - if you ever leave this company and try and try to get another job doing SEO, good luck...because you basically don't know anything.

Thank you for your review, we wanted to address your commentary directly. Relating to the internship program, all of our candidates are informed within our interview process that they receive a monthly stipend for their efforts. Unlike other internships in Philadelphia that may be not compensated, we pay a monthly stipend. This is communicated clearly during the interview process and all interns receive a packet at acceptance that defines this. All candidates are informed that they will receive tax documentation at the end of their program during intern on-boarding and this should not have been a surprise in any way and frankly we are surprised that you were surprised. Also, our interns are not required to work 40 hour weeks but are encouraged to integrate themselves as much as possible in order to secure a full-time position. A majority of interns take substantial time off within the summer or winter period for which they assist us. Relating to the learning component of the review, as the CEO I politely disagree with what this individual has said. We have instituted the following training and organizational development processes to ensure collective learning and employee growth. - Group training sessions into optimization concepts - Standardized online learning process/testing - General business training sessions - Feedback processes in order to gather and act on direct feedback - Online membership at a variety of video portals that enable detailed training - One on One meetings with senior leadership Also, the individual that was referenced as receiving a promotion did not in fact receive a promotion but rather received a change in title/responsibility. He received a true promotion and a 10% raise at his true one-year mark.

Pros

Trinity Insight was by far the best job I have ever had. No more being treated as a number. This firm of tight knit employees resembles somewhat of a family. They take care of each other, teach, and provide an avenue to create something great. I started out as an intern and knew nothing about SEO. Through the right innovation and encouragement from Trinity Insight, I was quickly able to progress and become a knowledge leader in the industry. The CEO, Craig Smith, is incredibly accessible and always encouraging. If you take an idea to Craig, he does not brush you off like most CEOs I have encountered. Instead, he almost always lets you try it out, because he believes in innovation. It is written right there in the mission statement. All I really have to say is that I loved working at this company. I made some great friends and valuable professional relationships. If you are considering applying to this great company, do it immediately. You won't regret it!

Cons

Smaller companies have limited resources, but what makes this company great is the innovation and skill that is required to find workarounds and progress in the face of competition.
