Pros

Started working here part-time as a student in the Zagreb office, then got offered a full-time contract. They covered my relocation costs to Dusseldorf and provided a temporary apartment, making the move stress-free. Initially my tasks were making small apps, and with time and guidance from my mentor, I progressed to more and more complex ones and then worked on interesting projects that have an impact in the real world. Overall, it’s a supportive place that helps you grow both professionally and personally. other good things: -flexible working hours -multicultural environment -german lessons -many learning opportunities to stay up-to-date

Cons

Pros

- Friendly team of devs - Some social activities and perks

Cons

- Be very careful about the contract you are signing. They try to trap people in 3-4 year contracts via some German courses agreement. - The boss micro-manages all employees regardless of seniority. - Absolutely no home office in the first year. Maybe just in very very rare exceptions. - They play the "family" card until someone tries to leave, then they are "disowned" and all hell breaks loose. - When I left they didn't pay me the some leftover vacation days and overtime. - No in-house products, you are just rented to other companies as a contractor.

Pros

This company was my first company in Germany. They helped me with my Visa (blue card), found an apartment (which I left after 7 months to start living with a girlfriend), filled my fridge for the first couple of weeks, paid a bill for my trip to Germany, and many more things. I visited Berlin Droidcon, got paid for the trip and stay, then I wanted to visit some other conference and got approval for that too, I was a speaker at 3 different events and got a bonus for that (100 euros for local events, and 500 for speaking at Droidcon). I got a bonus when I got married. Occasionally, we had lunch at the office organized by the CEO and other colleagues. The company is giving a customer satisfaction bonus every day you work on a project that the client is paying for, not an in-house project.

Cons

It depends on the type of the developer you are. For example, if you are searching for the opportunity to work for big companies like DB, Audi, Porsche, or Bosch, and not be a direct employee of those big companies, this is a perfect company for you. If you are caring about the product, and want to make an impact on WHAT will be developed, this company is mostly not for you. The reason why I left the company is because I found out that I really like working on in-house projects. This company has it, but nowadays the market is oriented to the big players and small projects, simply cannot survive. And I also found out how much I hate SAFe, LESS, and other corporate frameworks that big clients like Bosch are using. As a guy who enjoys pair programming, Trunk-based development, and TDD, I couldn't work for those clients anymore.
