Pros
Coworkers are great people who a friendly and knowledgeable. Benefits have been reduced but are still above average. Management has done a better job of rewarding top performers. There are always opportunities to move laterally to a new role to expand your knowledge and skills, but little opportunity for actual promotion.
Cons
Management tries to reduce everything down to statistics, including the employees. While management has done a great job of continued financial success given the economy, they have also reduced their standards. Employees are expected to do more work for less, often supporting other departments, and service to our clients is intentionally being reduced to average when CUNA Mutual Group once prided on having the best possible. Little effort is made to retain the top talent. Many systems are ancient but don't get updated because of the expense.
