Pros

You get to work on a good variety of major name brands. It's always fun to see your work come up among your friends without them even knowing it's yours. If you're in the right department, advancement is clear and quality is encouraged. While the hour demands can be long at times, the schedule is also flexible if you need to come in late, leave early or work from home on occasion. The pay is also very competitive if you know to push for it at hiring or promotions.

Cons

There's frequently a lack of communication and coordination between departments (accounts, technology, creative, etc.) and sites (KoP, NY & LA). There is also not a consistent culture of excellence: while some individuals are at the top of their game, others do only the bare minimum, and there's enough of the latter to drag whole projects. There's also a feeling of being the forgotten step-child with both GSI & eBay above.

Pros

Company offers free Bagels on Wednesday Company offers free beer on Friday Partners provide generous employee discounts Employee referral bonus is high... if you can live with yourself for recommending this job to a friend.

Cons

Layoffs last year created an environment of distrust and dissatisfaction. Reorganization lead to increased demands on those left. Senior management promised raises and promotions to a large group leftover in exchange for taking on an increased workload (in my case- combining the job of 4 people into one) and did not follow through. Reviews are subjective and do not show the true value of an employee. You are more harshly reprimanded for interacting with coworkers than you are rated on the merit of your work. Dissatisfaction throughout the organization causes workers to be nasty backstabbers. There is no reason to work harder than necessary at this company because chances are the person next to you is on Facebook all day making more money than you do and being recommended for a raise. The new corporate raise policy excludes all employees from a yearly COLA and instead highly rewards employees with promotions and raises for which they are not qualified.
