Pros
- Lots of nice people. - CEO was accessible and approachable to technical and product employees. - Great downtown location in Toronto and new office in Kitchener-Waterloo. Remote in some jobs. - Good health benefits and vacation, flexible hours, free lunches on Wednesdays and discounted snacks and drinks.
Cons
- CEO was dismissive and disrespectful to people not on technical or product teams. - It felt like executive decisions were made on a whim and employees just reacted. It made long term planning and thoughtful goal-setting difficult. - Communication was an issue between teams and between the executive team and employees. - Tension between the Toronto and Kitchener-Waterloo offices. - Employees/teams were treated inconsistently. - Mostly men with a few women. Women didn't seem to get promoted and there aren't many women at the management level.
