Pros

Nice views of Manhattan from the office

Cons

Not much room to move up within company. Certain departments have many layoffs so job security isn’t great depending on what you work in. Upper management doesn’t really seem to care to listen to their employees. Not many people stay here for more than 2 years for a reason.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you experienced many departments going through layoffs at your time at Tunecore, however, our upper management is working closely with the Believe Digital team and we are constantly looking to develop a better connection with our employees. We currently hold quarterly company outings/events, monthly birthday & company milestone treats, and monthly company meetings with a Q&A to harness full transparency from our upper management to all employees, where all employees are encouraged to ask questions regarding our company and performance. We are also glad that you liked our office, we are excited to announce that we have some wonderful changes coming into our space including an amazing roof deck access!

Pros

-lots of dedicated teammates who are genuinely interesting, smart, and are fun to work with. Health benefits are ok, but wellness friday is an amazing benefit. Office is in dumbo, was renovated in the last few years so it's newish. -If you work in a non-US office there is outward mobility to work for Believe, the parent company, which is a cool opportunity. -You can work full remote if you are an engineer -Hybrid schedule for everyone else is flexible (7 days a month)

Cons

-Pay isn't competitive no matter how many "market adjustments" HR says they're doing. You are expected to trade salary for the cool factor of working in music tech, but almost no one gets to go to any of the events for those experiences. -Lots of debt across the product needs addressing, but theres little time to do so because leadership is constantly chasing waterfalls and changing the top priority. -Lack of industry knowledge in several high ranking roles is hurting the company's velocity. Focus is on the wrong things. -Several well respected, tenured, and vocal team members in leadership have been recently laid off and quickly replaced with very little transparency. It was kind of shady and freaked a lot of people out.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I’m pleased to hear that you appreciated our team culture and the benefits like Wellness Friday, as well as the office space in Dumbo. Creating a supportive and enjoyable work environment has always been a key priority for us, and it’s great to know you were able to experience that firsthand. I also want to thank you for your thoughts on compensation and leadership. I fully understand your concerns around pay, and I want to assure you that we’re constantly working to ensure our compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards. We are committed to providing fair and meaningful compensation for our team’s hard work. Regarding leadership changes, I recognize that transitions can be unsettling. We strive to be transparent throughout these processes, and I regret if it felt unclear or unsettling to you and others. We are committed to improving our communication and making sure our team feels informed and supported during times of change. We are actively listening to feedback and will continue to make adjustments where necessary. On the topic of the company’s focus, I understand the frustration that comes with shifting priorities. As a company, we’re always reassessing our strategies to ensure we stay aligned with our long-term goals. We are committed to improving how we manage and communicate these priorities so that everyone feels more confident and clear about where we are headed. I sincerely appreciate your perspective, and I take your feedback seriously as we work to continuously improve. Thank you again for your time at TuneCore, and I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. Best regards, Andreea Gleeson CEO, TuneCore
