Pros

Since the new management in Summer 2020- I cannot list a single pro. This company isn't UKFast anymore- I suggest they change the name. It is a huge shame, as UKFast WAS a great place to work and the industry is exciting. UKFast made me ill.

Cons

- Absolutely no loyalty to staff, clients even recognised this. - The members of staff in management can't actually manage people. You would find nursery children with better people skills than some of their 'directors' - Salaries are below industry standard, you are also made to jump through hoops to get your pay-rise that should have been automatically granted on promotion, as per the contract - Directors will get the seniors to deliver bad news causing friction in the team - Toxic environment - They perform disciplinaries over MS Teams, in front of the whole office. - No respect - Causes severe mental health issues

I am so sorry that you feel that way. If you want to talk to me directly please feel free to contact me. I'm keen to understand your points because what you describe goes against everything that the entire team wants. When I first came here people asked for more transparency and fairness. We've been working hard to do just that and to be the place where everyone can be their true self. So, what have we been doing? We've just reviewed all our salaries, making adjustments across the board and also for individuals to make sure that pay is fair compared to the market and internally. You'll also know that we brought in some new policies to push the fairness point on sickness, performance, how to raise concerns which includes people being treated with respect. We've also just introduced flexible working. As for mental health we have the most amazing group of people who are trained as mental health first aiders and who through our wonderful EDI groups, have raised the profile of mental health - we work on the basis that it's ok to not be ok. In fact this week is mental health awareness week and we have a number of initiatives going on. Finally, we specifically asked about bullying in our survey and had a categorical ‘no’ response. So in short it would be really helpful if you could contact me because your points go against everything we stand for and I would appreciate the conversation.

Pros

Culture on the tech side is quite good. Free drinks at the bar. If you wanted, you could probably stay a long time here if you were happy as you are.

Cons

Non-tech teams were extremely cliquey and were incredibly target-driven, resulting in lots of missold systems totally inappropriate for customers. They are also very reluctant to talk to the engineers so these issues aren't ever corrected. Limited progression opportunities despite their advertising - the certificates that are paid for is true (as long as you continue working there another 12 months), but getting them approved can take a long time, if ever, as they seem to only approve the cheaper certificates and make you very slowly build up, rather than going something more appropriate for your level of competence.

Pros

Great, friendly people for the most part. Made some good friends in my time at the company. Onsite gym, onsite bar, beer friday (don't know if this still happens)

Cons

Terrible pay, bad tech stack, no clear progression routes
