Great and fun place to learn! - Anonymous employee URGE IO Employee Review

As part of my studies I completed an internship with Versus (URGE IO). Compared to many of my friends from my studies who told me they had been in internships in huge cooperation where they were getting coffee and just been onlookers to year old processes, I felt really lucky to have found a company such as Versus which is still young and raw but that I found great. I got to dig right into the work and also see my contribuitions being valued and even got to see them in effect. It's a relaxed work place with the whole team coming from around the world and everyone was very welcoming and friendly. All in all a great experience and a great place to work!

The company is still pretty small and the offices are totally new and because of this a bit bare and impersonal. The work-load is sometimes very heavy which might be a plus for most people but when you are still in the middle of your studies, it was a big challenge at times. 

While i was there the product was doing well but the managing team still kept insisting that we improved and updated it with new features and optimization of the old. Something i found really great as i have experienced before in my career that the managers don't really care about doing great work when things are going good but only when times are tough. At Urge success meant just as much responsibility to create a great product as the lack of success does. The company was very modern in every aspect. The equipment, the product, the office is all cool and the communication between the managing team and other workers was pretty straight forward. The company also had a high female ratio which is rare in tech but shows that it's not stuck in old days and that ratio was also in leading positions btw though no developers yet.  

For a startup it had some strict guidelines but pretty clear ones so i didn't see it a problem.  I would have liked the office to be more noisy and a bit more social team but no one was unfriendly.
