Pros

Good, young people to work with Bagels every week Free soda Lunch provided every other week Exposure to multiple verticals

Cons

I will start this off by saying that this company hired me straight out of college in a time when it wasn't the easiest for graduates to get jobs and for that I am grateful. Little did I know that this place operated as a revolving door; burning their employees out and then rehiring from the ever-flowing pool of eager faced recent grads. Entry level pay is comparable to other agencies in the OC/LA area. However, in most agencies you would expect to get a 10-15% jump in pay after 1-2 years given good performance. I believe my first raise here was 2%. I had received high reviews and was the point person on my team so trust me when I say this company does not reward those who perform well. How do I know this? After leaving USIM, I have been fortunate enough to receive a raise every year and promotion every other year since then. This definitely would not have happened if I were to stay at USIM. This place can only be described as a digital sweat shop. Understaffing to save on costs leads to inexperienced associates taking on way too much work that they are clearly not ready for. This company does not care about the quality of its work; therefore does not invest in ways to properly train or provide adequate resources for their employees. It's very much a "here's an account, figure it out" type culture. Now, that may work for some people, as many have succeeded after their time at USIM, but do not evaluate your employees based on training that you have NEVER provided them. It's wrong, it's unfair and it does not build long-lasting results. If you are looking for a job because you're just getting started in the industry and need some lines to fill your resume, this place may work for you if you don't mind the frantic and draining environment. Here are some warnings: Do not expect to go through a training program or anything that may resemble one. Do not expect to get any recognition for your work. Do not expect your manager to be committed to your success. And most of all, do not expect much of anything from senior management as they do not expect anything more than for you to shut up and do your work...and then work some more.

Pros

Hybrid work schedule plus a few in-office perks

Cons

There are many issues, but the most significant are: • Frequent dishonesty and intentional deception, often justified as “strategy” • A clear imbalance in workload and accountability across employee levels Mid-level employees are consistently overworked and burned out, while upper management benefits from the results. Meanwhile, junior-level employees have minimal real responsibilities and spend a disproportionate amount of time on non-work activities, contributing little to actual output. • Unclear strategic direction and inconsistent guidance from upper management. • Absence of clear processes and leadership direction These conditions often lead to burnout for some employees, while others are given a free pass and are even rewarded despite a lack of accountability. If you are a responsible professional who values growth, recognition for hard work, and your mental and physical well-being, I would encourage you to look beyond the company’s in-office perks when evaluating this role.
