Pros

You get to work in an industry that revolves around anime

Cons

Management does not seem to care how overwhelmed or overworked you are. Your pay does not reflect the amount of work you are required to do. Blatant nepotism, lack of care for their employees (they sat us in plastic folding chairs and party tables full time for months after rescinding our previous WFH arrangements) , management is petty and immature, and an overall hostile work environment that thrives on shifting blame unto others.

Pros

- work with anime and collectibles - your anime knowledge is a huge plus - at-site management is somewhat understanding of the growing pains and tries to work with you. - good benefits and social environment - looks good on your resume, you will get approached by other companies for opportunities

Cons

- unrealistic number of items being offered daily, lack of focus and more of a "throw darts at the wall and see which ones stick". - impossible to do your job with a hostile client base that no longer believes in your items and service due to terrible past experiences. In turn, lack of any meaningful changes or promotions in order to regain the client confidence back. - lack of a modern CRM, lack of investment and planning in getting this implemented in the last 4 years. This in turn frustrates clients and makes doing your job much harder. - overseas management does not understand the US market and why sales are lagging. Believes that just the brand name alone is enough "marketing" - Lack of sales planning in relation to the US market. Expect new product to be outdated immediately. Odd mentality to acquire niche IPs that do not do well with the client base. - prices are at the whim of overseas management and the Yen exchange rate. You will not be able to sell anything with razor thin margins. - Do not expect the company to survive the upcoming tariffs since this would make the already bad pricing even worse.
