This repair station is garbage. It appears if you are not Caucasian and don't brown nose the general manager you won't make it anywhere in this company. There is definite favoritism here as friends of management get hired and paid more than other hard working mechanics. If management doesn't like you, forget about fair pay, bonuses or pay raises while they make their six figure salaries.
Negotiate your pay fiercely, don't let them undervalue you. One manager is getting paid six figures and was provided a free car with zero management experience! I was promised great sheet metal experience here, nope....what a joke department. Don't be fooled by any promises during the interview!
Seems like the only way this place will get better is if we mechanics become unionized! Definitely not a company for the long haul. Just get your experience and bail.
