Low pay, no benefits, not a good company to work for - Customer Service Representative Unifi Employee Review

Pros

Flight benefits, but you don't get paid enough to be able to go anywhere. Flexible schedule, so you can usually find someone to work for you or you can take time off as long as the staffing is there.

Cons

low pay, no vacation time, no sick time, REALLY expensive benefits around 700$/mo for a family rate. Corrupt management. The schedule changes on a month to month bases so its hard to plan anything with your family. They start out at 8.25/hr where I work, and you max out at 10.60/hr. Again no benefits, no vacation....NOTHING. Once you hit supervisor you get 13/hr plus a few weeks vacation time, not too bad. You have to be the bosses best friend and let him/her treat you like a dog to get anywhere. If they want you out they will find a way. I have worked here full time for 7 years, and when I applied for a supervisor position, a person who worked there for 4 years and was a ready reserve (no more that 10 hrs per week) got the position. This company has to be one of the worst companies to work for

Pros

Great job and customers. Nice airport.

Cons

Bad management. Hateful co workers. I’ve worked airline industry for 35 years. I have never worked in such a hateful, vicious environment. About 8 of us quit around the same time because of many mean co-workers and supervisors. Anyone not Hispanic was and still is treated bad and picked on. I hope that American Airlines cancels their agreement with Unifi, and hires a better company to run the Palm Springs operation. They need a company that follows the rules of the United States when it comes to treating their employees fairly. Any fair treatment rules not followed are covered up by Unifi management.
