Pros
Great Coworkers. Really nice people.
Cons
I worked in the Claims Department at this company. This review is a bit detailed, but I’m sharing my full experience so people can make an informed decision before applying.
The department was extremely high-volume and consistently understaffed. The workload was heavy every day, and it often felt like there weren’t enough people to realistically keep up with the number of disability claims being handled.
In my experience, work distribution did not always feel fair or consistent. Some employees seemed to have more manageable workloads than others, which created a frustrating and uneven environment.
I also experienced what felt like bias in how I was treated at times. I personally felt singled out compared to others, and there were moments where I felt targeted by certain leadership, which impacted my day-to-day experience and how comfortable I felt at work.
When I tried to speak up about workload concerns or boundaries, it sometimes felt like those concerns were not well received and I was labeled in ways like “not being a team player,” which made it harder to communicate openly.
There was also very limited room for growth or development, and feedback didn’t always feel constructive. The overall environment felt very pressure-heavy, with little support for employees trying to manage the workload effectively.
Based on my experience, the turnover rate seems to reflect ongoing challenges within the department. While the job may work for someone looking for short-term experience in a fast-paced setting, I personally did not find it to be a sustainable long-term environment.
I would encourage anyone considering the role to read multiple reviews and look at overall patterns over time to get a balanced understanding of the workplace.
