Pros

Positive atmosphere, engineering department has a great culture, exposure to real responsibility on live infrastructure projects, great place to build your skills and deal with live challenges in a developing industry. Staff I deal with regularly in my team are a fantastic group of people

Cons

Could benefit from improved communication between some departments

Pros

When I joined United Infrastructure as an L&D Advisor 1.5 month ago, I found my role well-defined with clear expectations and objectives, thanks to my supportive manager. Despite her being 2.5 hours away in Washington, I never felt disconnected. One of the things I appreciate most is the independence I have in my role. It’s empowering to be trusted to take ownership, especially in a fast-paced environment like ours. Yes, there’s a lot going on, and yes, things change quickly — but that’s part of the energy here. It keeps you learning and growing. The company has changed it's structure recently, which has caused some confusion. However, the supportive culture stands out, as colleagues willingly assist each other across teams. The motto "Together we achieve more" is genuinely reflected in the collaborative work environment, aligning well with the company values and the goals of the People Team.

Cons

The pace and complexity of change can feel like a lot to take in at first, especially when you're new. But it’s also a reflection of a company that’s growing, evolving, and constantly improving — which is exciting to be part of. While a bit more clarity around structure and processes could help new starters settle in faster, the support from colleagues truly makes the journey smoother and more enjoyable.
