Cons
Upper management pushed me to the point of mental exhaustion. I was constantly belittled and told I wasn’t good enough for my job and the state manager very clearly had a personal issue with me and in our last conversation attacked my personal character. They have no sense of work / life balance. You’re expected to do everything and nothing all at once and never given any encouragement or praise. They clearly pick and choose favourites and are not willing to adapt. Any feedback they do get, they don’t take on board and instead weaponise it to belittle the team members even more. This along with the fact they have no awareness around the current economic state of the world and are constantly pushing unattainable budgets onto managers and then once again belittling their abilities to do their jobs. When I raised that my budgets needed to be lowered for factors such as a drastic drop in foot traffic compared to the previous year in lockdown I was told it was a me issue if I wasn’t making enough money. I was told I didn’t care about my store or my team but in the same breath was told we were pulling figures never seen in that store. Stock was an absolute joke as well as the overall closing procedure. The company is the worst company I’ve ever worked for. If they don’t like you then they do everything they can to make you feel so uncomfortable you leave
