Pros
This position is an incredible opportunity to learn a lot about business, yourself, and gain experience that can help build your experience on your resume. It requires you to challenge yourself each day, work outside of your comfort zone. Your earning potential can be very high if you are willing to put in the effort. Upper management is available constantly for mentorship and support throughout the summer. It can also give you a great work/life balance if you manage your time effectively.
Cons
There can be long hours, challenges with dealing with clients, and employees. All of which are positives for me because I enjoy the challenge but can be seen as a con for someone that isn’t interested in that. It’s a position that requires you to be accountable to yourself and to the business. Employees can be difficult to manage and you may need to go through a few to get employees that can produce projects efficiently. If you aren’t willing to put in the effort you won’t get much out of it.
