I started as a tax intern and was able to grow into a full-time position, which speaks to the growth opportunities within the company. The role is fully remote, compensation is reasonable, and there are great learning opportunities. The tax work includes a good mix of unique and complex returns, along with more straightforward ones, which makes it a strong environment for building experience. The tax department also has an amazing VP, manager, and team who are supportive, knowledgeable, and great to work with. There is also flexibility with hours, so taking care of things like a doctor’s appointment or getting my car serviced was never an issue as long as the work got done.

The only real downside is that there is currently no IRA or retirement plan offered but that will likely change in the future.

I love my job because of the people I get to work with every day. I’m surrounded by incredibly talented, hardworking teammates who care about doing great work and supporting one another. There’s a shared sense of ownership and care for the team and customers, and that makes even the busiest days feel rewarding. I never feel bored — I feel challenged in the best way. The work pushes me to think critically, improve my skills, and grow professionally. There’s always something new to learn, and I’m constantly encouraged to level up rather than stay comfortable. What makes it even better is having a manager who truly has my back. I feel supported, trusted, and empowered not micromanaged. My manager invests in helping me strengthen my skills and created an environment where I can ask questions, take initiative, and keep improving.

Fast paced and a learning curve that requires patience with yourself at times.
