Great Medical Benefits and low stress environment.

I didn't find any cons while working with Vastec

- We get paid every week

- Parking is scarce. Have to show up early to find parking. - Swing/Night Shift pays more. Day shift a few dollars less than Swing/Night shift. - Clique based 'culture". Very childish. - If you don't match the skin color of the people in charge it gets tough for you. - Constant vague directions and statements by the people in charge. - Negative atmosphere. Seldom talk about positive things. They rule by fear. - Temp to Perm hire. May take weeks, or months to make Perm. - Takes 2 months to get hired. - Constant turnover. You always feel that you will be replaced at anytime, - 30 min lunch on a 10 hour shift. - Machines will replace staff in 30 months time. - Mandatory Overtime. - If you make mistakes, you will be babysat. - 3 bathrooms for 40 people. - No advancement. You are stuck at your role. - They use fringe benefits. You are hired at $18.50 a hour, and add $5 and hour as fringe benefit to equal $23.50 an hour, if you work Swing/Night shift. - No merit increases. - You will sit/stand by your station the whole shift. - Talking amongst peers is/are looked down upon. - Never know when contract with IRS will expire. Place would be better with change of leadership at Tampa location. They hire any warm body who does not have a felony record. If you want a dead-end job, Vastec is for you.
