Pros

- Successfully transitioning from a services to a product-based company is something every startup battles with, but Validere is taking this approach as effectively and efficiently as I've ever seen. Solutions are being built continuously in a more self-served way which is a huge win to our customers and making the business more sustainable. - The innovative solutions being worked on within the realm of emissions reduction and accounting seem unmatched by any competitors. It's exciting being able to work on something truly innovative. - Very fast-paced work environment. Given the size of the company and optimization of workflows, it takes very little time to make decision across main stakeholders productively - Amazing team. Haven't yet worked with such bright people with truly no ego. Every idea is challengeable, everyone brings out the best in each other's work. - Transparent leadership-level decisions and company direction are clearly and often articulated to the whole organization. - The area of emissions accounting, reporting and reduction is a rewarding space to work in from both a problem-solving and ethical perspective.

Cons

- Small team means a lot of responsibility. Every team member is accountable for their own work and there isn't room to slack off. This can lead to long hours, but also rewarding outputs.

Pros

Mission-driven organization aiming to assist in the reduction of emissions through measurement, reporting, and verification. All staff were encouraged to find balance between work and their personal lives. This was aimed to specifically avoid burnout and build a sustainable career with the organization. Management were regularly open to hearing new ideas for the business and considered suggested technologies for adoption - following a technical review process. As a result I saw the tech dramatically shift and improve throughout my tenure.

Cons

As a fully remote employee, it was challenging to maintain my sense of belonging to the team amidst the organizations Return To Office initiative. More regular visits to the office likely would have helped, and were actively being considered/discussed prior to my departure.
