Pros

It doesn't take much in order to be a trained security officer for this company. The training is fairly painless, as well as the job itself. The hours are decent depending on the times of your shift in which you applied for. The people you work with are pretty nice and easy going, and the bosses are typically understanding.

Cons

The pay is the obvious down side to this job. It's hard to make a living on $10/hour, especially when they don't let you get any overtime, no matter how badly they might need the help. The boss directly above you is usually pretty easy going, but once you go above him (Director of Security), they are all jerks and really don't seem to care about anyone but themselves. The job itself is boring and you don't really have any say or power or privileges other than to "observe and report." You are required to scan checkpoints around the premesis every hour for your entire shift, which gets really old very fast. The company is more worried about protecting themselves and not getting sued than doing what you're hired to do in the first place.
