Pros
* Flexi-Friday and working from home * Friendly and helpful co-workers * sociable work environment * minimal workload during quieter periods
Cons
Where to begin? This place is a burnout factory with the veneer of a modern, friendly and “woke” workplace that claims to care about its employees. The reality is that the workload for Account Managers during busy periods is ridiculous and completely unsustainable, with mandatory overtime expected as standard. Training is okay, but not sufficient for the demands of the busy periods. Burnout is normalised rather than addressed, and despite frequent talk about mental health, there is very little meaningful support in practice. Management is quite young, likely reflecting the high staff turnover, but it has created a cliquey environment where it often feels like you’re in school again. Promotions seem to be based on favouritism and popularity with management rather than a careful consideration of who is best suited for the role. Opportunities to progress are few and far between, with the goal posts for promotion to Senior Account Manager constantly changing. To anyone considering this job, run.
