Pros
It's a flat organization where you are *told* that your opinion is valuable. The organization has always been one with a higher percentage of female employees, close to 70%. They organize a bunch of employee engagement activities and provide ample opportunities for you to get to know your co-workers better. You will meet a lot of great individuals and leave with at least a handful of friends you've made for life. But I would agree with anyone thinking that making friends cannot be the central objective to join a company in this day and age, unless you're looking to make a quick buck. Since it is a fairly small organization, you will have the opportunity to make mistakes and learn along the way. There are fairly good opportunities to grow on the research side if you are deserving and end up with the right team and the right boss.
Cons
The whole system runs on the basis of personal biases. Undeserving candidates willing/able to sweet talk the management will get their way. The management, in general, lacks good business sense. The have no idea what works, sells or how to sell and they will not let someone who does and someone who has consistently overshot their targets perform. It is a thankless job if you're a part of the sales team. Micromanagement is at large here. They do not value employees and hence, the insistence on creating process documents and recording every detail, every step of the way. They believe that good, hardworking employees can be easily replaced when they are armed with process documents that can be passed to just about anybody, even an intern.
