Pros

Tight-knit culture, things are constantly changing, and everyone wears many hats. It's a few years old now, though, so you get the benefit of working for a small company but without the worry of job insecurity like you would at a start-up. Management hears employee concerns and does their best to address them immediately. Management values awesome employees and does whatever they can to keep them. Other pros: everyone really buys into the mission of the company, and everyone is socially-minded. VP donates a lot of time and resources into educational equity (i.e. pays tutors to work with full-scholarship kids). Students usually make major improvements in scores, which is very rewarding. As someone who has worked at other prestigious test prep co's, I know this is hard to come by. Clients all live on the westside, so driving isn't hell like it would be with other companies who send you all across different parts of LA

Cons

Since it's growing so fast, it can be hard to keep up with increasing # of clients coming through the door. Management is really supportive about this though. Clients can be demanding since they are often paying a lot, but since we produce results for their kids so quickly, they usually calm down

Pros

I have never quite worked at a place like Vault Prep, where they genuinely care for your well-being, success, and continuous development. I felt like I was making a difference every day!

Cons

Communication can be spotty at times, although the leadership tries its hardest to support.

Pros

I’ve worked at Vault for a little over a year now. When I first started at Vault, I was trained by our Lead Teacher and CEO directly and learned more from them in a week than in all my years of schooling combined. The CEO is genuinely brilliant and has spent years developing this unique curriculum that doesn’t just teach students “what” to learn but, more importantly, “how” to learn. This in and of itself has been indispensable to my life. The dedication to teacher training for all tutors is the most exceptional part of the company. As Vault has continued to grow and expand (opened up 2 new offices during my tenure here), there has been opportunity for growth for employees. I started off as a part-time tutor and eventually transitioned to a full-time capacity after about 5 months. The company currently consists of a lean team of people who are talented, passionate, and very enjoyable to work with. The leadership team is always thinking about how we can better serve our students and expand our services. We're currently in the process of developing a technology platform that will work hand-in-hand with our amazing curriculum to even more effectively support our students.

Cons

Hard for me to think of any "cons". But if I had to choose something, it'd be the parking. Since our hours are typically shifted to be later in the day (we're primarily working with students after school), most of the parking spots are already taken by the time I get there in the morning. But this will soon be a non-issue once we transition to our new office.
