Pros
I truly found a home with this company. The management team sticks to is word and prompts internally when earned. Full benefits, 10 days vacation, paid holidays, new climbing gear, new trucks, very progressive. I have worked for many smaller companies and often pay was an issue as well as having to bunk up 2 per room while on the road. Not with Velex. I get paid every week and $100 a day for per diem. Management treats me well and have advanced from a tech II to A Tech III in the year that I have been with the company. The safety department is very knowledgeable and has answered any questions that I have sent their way even after my initial training.
Cons
If you're looking for a free ride and are a drug addict do not apply. This company will let you go quickly if you're just looking for a paycheck. I am very thankful for this as with other companies it seemed that I was the only one willing to put in an honest day's worth of work and felt that my life was constantly being threatened by drug attics that were spaced out of their minds.
