Pros

You can work hybrid/remote with a flexible schedule. There is a break room full of snacks and drinks if you’ve decided to work in the office. Management team focuses on diversification which attracts employees with different backgrounds/ethnicities. Last but not least, there is a performance bonus to differentiate hard-working employees from regular ones.

Cons

Neutral perspectives With the recent layoffs, people might develop some negative feelings about the company. I think it’s fair to point out the fact that this company is part of the mortgage industry and that the decline in mortgage demand will affect the company’s top and bottom line greatly. High interest rate together with home sellers not lowering their prices will cause the demand from home buyers to drop significantly. This will reduce the number of mortgage application rates which lead to a lower number of income/employment verifications, the biggest revenue stream for Veri-Tax in a long time. As a result, the company needs to lay off employees to keep up with its revenue drop just like other banks and tech companies did during this economic downturn. The more important thing to discuss is whether they are handling the layoffs fairly based on a set of objective criteria as mentioned, and that I don’t know. Cons Pay is a bit lower compared to the current market.
