Just OK - Producer Vertical Networks Employee Review

Was a long commute for me.

The benefits are fairly standard, but a good amount of vacation/sick days and company lunch on Wednesdays is nice. I would describe Vertical as an employee-first company, they do a great job of making sure you're not working overtime, that you have opportunities to grow and be promoted, etc.

The location sucks - for a company paying digital rates locating in Venice means employees have to choose between astronomically high rents or very, very long commutes. Staff pay varies wildly and doesn't always make sense. Freelance employee rates are competitive, staff rates are average, but I knew a few freelancers who were there for a year, so what's the benefit in going staff?
