Pros

Comp plans are strong. Commissions are lucrative Some good people scattered within the company Canadians are nice

Cons

Benefits are beyond bad. Insurance for US workers horrible, no company match for 401k, etc. CEO is all but missing in this organization - He lives on an island in the Caribbean - not a joke COO is clueless and has proven he is a bad judge of character on more than one occasion already. He came from Yellow Pages (Is that still in business?) and seems to be structuring VS to be a call center. He has no clue what real salespeople do. Management seems to make decisions based on weekly reports and salesforce vs. being involved in the business People in management don't have any experience on most of the vertical categories Sales is set up vertical instead of territory wise so salespeople from across the country come to cities that other salespeople could easily handle Many employees are protected for some reason even though they contribute little from a financial aspect. There are people that are funny so they keep them, there are people with a relationship or related to the CEO family, so they keep them. There are drinking buddies, so they keep them. Zero marketing support. Serious branding problem....They go by like 7 different names in different markets and based on what you are selling This company is very frugal. I mean very frugal. They seem to have gotten better but recently a bunch of jobs with great people eliminated strictly to "save money" No one thinks they are safe in their role except for protected people There is a huge communication problem at this company - everyone is in the dark most of the time on what is going on and current management doesn't seem interested in talking to employees about anything Management and especially CEO seems hell bent on taking every dollar from every crap programmatic opportunity even if it means hurting opportunities for more money For some reason ownership is a newspaper

Pros

My experience working with VS has just been stellar. Upbeat colleagues all remote and lots of positive energy

Cons

Because of the pandemic we’re all remote and one has to remember time zones are different when scheduling meetings
