Pros

"Flexible working". Hard to think of anything else.

Cons

Yep, nothing good to say really. Joined last year into a newly created role (along with others), only to be made redundant as part of a mass restructure 8 months later. Never known anything like it. Environment is horrific, largely driven by a dysfunctional structure which nurtures insecurity and silo-working. Everyone fighting for their own wins, no cohesive sense of overall strategy or alignment. Management pay lip-service to "flexible working", and are all for it until you ask for it. Shameful that they promote awards, but show a different side internally. I don't mind being made redundant if it makes sense, but; a) these were NEWLY CREATED ROLES. b) when we left they had no idea what to do with our work. No-one to hand over to or any idea of the new processes they used as justification for the redundancies. The digital business is in chaos and you will not feel comfortable. I'd strongly recommend against working here.

Pros

Lots of good people who want to do well and are supportive, good salary and benefits.

Cons

- Lots of good people here, but Virgin Media O2 are flogging an old model and just not competing any longer in a very tough market. Senior leadership really need to read the room and get serious about the commercial model and pricing, else this business may cease to exist in 10 years - the time is now... Stop wasting time & money on needless projects and products. Focus on making a core set of products great, which also represent real value for customers - Regular restructures that are not well managed or communicated - Lots of male egos at a senior level, and much time is wasted pandering to them - Little female representation at director level and above - the company makes the right noises about this but I've seen little change in this respect - Generally feels a little like it's "who you know" with leadership - Backtracked on remote-friendly culture and moved to a 2 day a week hybrid model, but this isn't great with a widely-dispersed team. It makes life hard for those that don't live in London.

Pros

8 days a month in the office, a nicer hybrid approach than what most offer. Friendly people Nice office in London

Cons

Doesn’t go for all senior leaders but I have heard some SLT and EC talk badly about their colleagues and it’s uncomfortable to hear them do this. Can’t challenge them because you’ll be on the hit list next. Politics is real and if you don’t suck up to them you’re not valued. Want more and more and more from you with no remuneration to compensate for that. PAs often treated like punching bags to take the brunt and frustrations of senior leaders and aren’t appreciated enough… Benefits could definitely be better We could do more centrally to celebrate work milestones No progression

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback about your experience. We’re pleased to hear that you value aspects of our hybrid approach, as well as the people and workspace. Creating a flexible and supportive working environment is an important priority for us. We also take your concerns seriously, particularly around workplace behaviours, recognition, progression and how colleagues feel supported and valued in their roles. Everyone should feel respected, heard and able to contribute in a positive environment, regardless of role or level. We do place a strong focus on recognising our people, including initiatives such as our Can Do Awards, but we know there’s always more we can do to ensure this is felt consistently across all teams and roles. Your feedback highlights the importance of continuing to strengthen this, alongside opportunities for development and progression. We appreciate you being open about your experience, as this kind of feedback is essential in helping us improve.
