Pros

Startups and restarts are not for the immature...nor the inexperienced. Sam (who "has the tshirt") empowered his team with the freedom to make decisions and take action...that can be too much for some people who are used to simply doing what they are told. Accountability can be a tough task master...especially in this type of environment. If you deliver on your commits, Sam is the best. I'd work for him again anytime..

Cons

Bridge Point building location is abysmal

Pros

Beautiful location, awesome people, great product, fully stocked kitchen. No, I am not an HR person.

Cons

Leaving in the afternoon - it's at Bridgepoint, so you can be backed up for a long time if you're leaving during peak hours. Also, the gym in the building gets full very fast and there's only one TV and this weirdo forces everyone to watch Judge Judy in the afternoon.

Pros

Decisive leader who was able to take a completely dysfunctional organization and turn it into a growth engine. CEO was able to quickly and accurately assess the old management team and make impactful immediate changes which brought about sustained improvement in every aspect of the business. Virtual Bridges was a disaster being held together by duct tape and lies. Sam turned it into an accountable and committed organization with a culture of integrity and performance. Sure you had to be willing to work very hard, but, shouldn't that be expected in every startup? I can only assume that the person who bashed Sam was one of the dysfunctional individuals that ruined Virtual Bridges.

Cons

Tough market, tougher competition. The VDI market has always been a hyper competitive space and when your primary difference is Linux, it makes it tough on every aspect of the organization, from development to marketing to sales.
