Pros

VirtualHealth has an excellent office vibe and awesome policies like unlimited PTO, low cost/free health insurance, office snacks/coffee, and discounted gym memberships. They're also very lax on working from home and remotely. Everyone who works here is intelligent, and every single employee brings their specific talents/passions to the workplace which sets us apart from our competitors.

Cons

VirtualHealth calls itself a startup but considering every major decision happens at a snails' pace and requires approval from multiple department heads, the "just get it done whatever way possible" feel of startups is noticeably absent here. Finance gets too strong of a say in purchasing decisions, regardless if it's part of a department's allocated and pre-approved budget or not. Management expects perfection of every piece of work, regardless of draft status, which makes presenting work to superiors intimidating. Feedback is often intense, straightforward, and sometimes a little harsh, though if you can avoid taking it personally, this isn't a problem. Almost everyone suffers from a poor work/life balance due to constant travel on specific teams or due to overwhelming amounts of work for other teams.
