Pros

At one point, Vitech tried to reach too hard to be a big company. Professional Services and Product was ran by separate groups and every unit was groomed to compete with one another. This led to a lack of conformity as each group had its own processes and dedicated team members. Work culture suffered because there was a lack of unity and led to a lot of finger pointing. After several reorgs and realignment of teams, the company is now pushing forward to more common practices, sharing ideas and resources, and standardizing how every project is run. They are pushing forward with Agile training and modernizing their own internal training platform and methods. Project management via JIRA is getting standardized under a common workflow. Teams are encouraged to innovate and suggest ideas rather than just follow the status quo. Roles and responsibilities are getting more clearly defined. There is better collaboration between the Product and Professional Services organizations. These are things that were long overdue in this company.

Cons

There has been a lot of cost cutting to try to recession-proof the organization. Leadership has been asked to freeze their salary increases for multiple years in order to compensate for increases at the lower levels. There has been multiple layoffs. There has been a lack of investment in further improving our Product. Although they've introduced partial 401K matching, not much else has changed in the compensation package. You have to invest in your employees through profit sharing and career development if monetary compensation is limited. Stop with the old mindset that employees are only asking for career development to move on to other jobs.

Pros

Great Managers, 100% remote, with good(standard) benefits

Not much for moving up the ladder here. You get the experience and certs while your here and move on to a different company if you're looking for career progression.
