Pros

Great company, great people, pay and benefits competitive. Stress free environment.

Cons

Ratio between entry level and experience seems to be leaning towards the entry level mainly because of how quick the company is growing. The opportunity to advance is there though!

Pros

• The people are great. I had the opportunity to work with many talented, hardworking professionals who genuinely care about the company's success. • The company is growing quickly, which creates opportunities to tackle a wide variety of projects and learn new things. • Leadership is willing to explore new ideas and solutions, particularly when it comes to improving processes, safety, and operational efficiency. • The organization provides exposure to many different aspects of the business, making it a good environment for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and contributing beyond their primary role. • Employees who are self-motivated and willing to take initiative can influence processes, programs, and operational improvements.

Cons

• Rapid growth outpaces the development of formal processes, documentation, and organizational structure. • Everyone there is a "manager," and the amount of micromanaging is ample. • Everyone must report to the office, despite being in a role that doesn't require it. Prior to my tenure at VoltaGrid, they were a customer of mine, and I handled their account (and work) exceptionally well from my remote location. • The current org structure doesn't make sense in terms of how the Publications Group is set up. There isn't a Publications group! • Employees who specialize in process improvement, standardization, or organizational development may find it challenging to gain traction when immediate operational demands take precedence. • As with many fast-growing companies, there can be periods where reactive decision-making overshadows proactive planning and continuous improvement efforts. In short, it's a pretty good company to work for, but you must pack a handful of patience, because you're going to need it!
