Pros

If you’re looking for flex hours, this place works. If you’re retired and want to “get out” and work, this place works. If you’re a recent college graduate with little to no experience, this place works.

Cons

If you’re searching for a “professional home,” this is not the place. If you’re searching for a mature work environment, this is not the place. If you’re interested in stimulating work that focuses on consistent accuracy, this is not the place to work. If you are experienced, even with 2 years under your belt, this is not the place. The station has a great reputation built on yester-year. Now, the newsroom operates like a college radio station with the current management being very young-minded. But again, if you’re new to the field or are looking for “something,” this newsroom could be a decent temporary stop. Just remember, it’s not a long term option or a professional home.

Pros

Family-oriented, friendly, I've made a few friends there.

Cons

There' not much room to grow. I feel like this is a dying industry and they didn't know what to do about it. Some of the folks who have been there for longer say that in the past, this used to be really something but now it "feels like a factory job" (that's an exact quote). I don't think morale is all that hot, and I don't know anyone my age who thinks this is a place to build a career. I had to have a second job just to make ends meet.
