Pros
Facilities are mostly safe and clean. Opportunities are there to move up or around different job functions if your qualified. Experience can be gained here for future opportunities elsewhere. Most schedules are 12hr rotations which presents a 7 day off period per month. Benefits are average.
Cons
12 hour rotating shifts with slim chances of getting day shift only. Plant management seems to have a yearly trend of shifting for the good or sometimes bad through either production goal stress or getting promoted. Basically though in my experience if you do you job and are present when your scheduled they do respect it. Unfortunately we lose many experienced operators through higher paying or different scheduled companies.
