Pros

Working at Wave, you really do have the power to carve a career out for yourself. As a medium sized agency, you can really make an impact and also be involved in many areas that you wouldn't in another business. They give you the opportunity to bring new ideas to the table, get involved and try new things you perhaps haven't before, and explore other areas you can grow in. It's not a place where you would automatically get promoted or get a pay rise because you've been there for a few years and I quite like that. It means those who really want to make a difference and are passionate about their work are rewarded and I think this helps motivate colleagues. The work culture is pretty good with football, bbq's and other get togethers which brings the team closer together and people who wouldn't normally interact on a day to day basis get a chance to spend together too.

Cons

Although communication is pretty good within the agency, I think it can be improved so everyone knows exactly what's going on and they are confident about where they stand and what's expected from them. As a small agency, you do get Chinese whispers sometimes so I think it's important to keep on top of this. Wave use to finish early on a Friday but over the years it disappeared. Perhaps if the agency had a good week, a cheeky drink on a Friday would bring the team together.
