Pros
Nothing, absolutely nothing; all the 'pros' they sold were lies to lure you into what was probably the most stressful period of my life.
Cons
Working in that environment felt like stepping into a real-life Chernobyl zone, where toxicity seeped into every aspect of the workplace. The company's culture mirrored its leadership, especially the CEO, who seemed to have a knack for using their one hour of work per week to cast doubt on everyone else's efforts. It was like a never-ending loop of micromanagement, with tasks being scrutinized to the tiniest detail, even though everything was meticulously tracked on task management tools like ClickUp. What was most disheartening was the way the top 'management' team operated. They seemed to thrive on exploiting cheap labor from regions like Latin America and India, pushing employees to work grueling 12 to 14-hour days just to meet impossible deadlines WHILE PAYING FOR ONLY 8H, NOT A CENT EXTRA. And if you ever fell behind, brace yourself for public shaming in the open groups on Slack. It was as if they wanted robots instead of human beings, but since that's not feasible (yet!), they preyed on those desperate enough to accept the bait. All those promises made during interviews turned out to be nothing but smoke and mirrors. Once you stepped through the door, reality hit hard. Despite being a small agency, they had a turnover rate that would make your head spin. People either couldn't handle the pressure and left within a couple of months, or they stayed out of sheer desperation, which was a sad but understandable choice given the circumstances. If I could turn back time, I'd advise anyone in that situation to hold out for a better opportunity. It's not worth sacrificing your mental and emotional well-being for a toxic work environment. Here's hoping your next workplace is a breath of fresh air, far away from the nuclear fallout of micromanagement and unrealistic expectations.
