Now known as Athenium Analytics

Is this your company?

Completely unprofessional company. Unreliable, unorganized, immature. - Imagery Analyst Weather Analytics Employee Review

Pros

Coworkers are friendly! You may be able to gain some experience as an entry level employee. They often have kegs at open houses.

Cons

Company does not care about you as a worker or value your hard work, you are definitely just a number. I was hired as an imagery analyst. The department grew from 10 to over 100 analysts in 5-6 months. Shortly after we “ran out of work” and all part-timers were restricted from ALL work, 0 hours, without pay. Each week we were told “work was coming soon”, after over a month of waiting I found another job. This was extremely disappointing because I was working 35+ hours a week, and always worked over time when they needed. This just shows how little they value their employees. Management rarely knew what was going on, there is also a high turnover rate for them as well. When you ask questions, nobody knows the answer or is able to help. Just completely inexperienced.

Pros

Working with Weather Analytics, now Athenium Analytics, is engaging, transparent, and fast-paced. One of the most exciting chapters in my professional career, the company is growing, dynamic and welcoming.

Cons

This is a place for those willing to step out of their comfort zones and grow.

Pros

The people who you interact with every day (aka the foot soldiers) are amazing, passionate people. Definitely love what they do, put everything they have into it. You have a chance to be free with your work ideas, pitch things that in a big company would never be allowed. Fast moving up the ladder (if you aren't cut) since no one is around for long. Work time is pretty lenient if there's not an immediate deadline, which helps with the random things life throws at you.

Cons

The management is a cluster. An absolute mess. No one knows how to tell a client no, and there is so much insider politics going on you'd think you were working in Congress. Some super long nights and days trying to complete a project on deadline, only to have another "fire drill" the next day. Complaints about working conditions, improvements to the system or ideas that aren't already being considered will be brushed off. Starting salary for the area is a joke. Some of the fun nights were really just excuses to stay later at the office. Telework days were often revoked with little notice for some deadline.
