Where do I begin? My time at Weekend Health has been filled with challenges and disappointments. Here's a breakdown of my concerns: HR Department: My experience with the HR department, particularly with Ashley Woods, has been less than satisfactory. Despite numerous meetings and discussions, I felt my concerns were not genuinely addressed or acted upon. Compensation Disparities: Many of us joined Weekend Health after nationwide layoffs, and it felt like the company took advantage of our vulnerable positions. The negotiation room for our pay was minimal, and I observed disparities in pay scales that seemed to align with racial biases. Lack of Transparency in Role Assignments: I've noticed several employees being assigned new roles without those positions being openly posted or advertised. This lack of transparency raises questions about fairness and equal opportunity. Financial Concerns: Despite receiving significant funding, there are glaring disparities in the compensation packages offered to employees. Toxic Positivity & Micromanagement: The company's culture leans heavily on "forced positivity." We're often distracted with non-work-related challenges and meetings, while simultaneously being micromanaged to meet strict response times and analytics standards. This creates an environment where genuine concerns are overshadowed by a facade of positivity. Leadership Concerns: Most of us have had challenges with some of the leadership, particularly Nick Rafter and Naina Singh. Multiple people have actually complained, yet nothing has been done. Their roles and contributions often seem unclear, and there's a perception of favoritism that undermines team morale. In conclusion, while I joined Weekend Health with high hopes, my experience has been marred by issues of transparency, fairness, and genuine support. I urge potential applicants to do their due diligence before considering a position here.
