Inexperienced C-Suite and unpleasant culture - Sr. Director Welltech Employee Review

Some of the employees are friendly, good team players and good professionals. Some others well not as good.

C level executives lack (or let's say lacked) strategic direction and there is no transparency. No long term strategies, poor communication from their side and limited openness toward employees. Decisions feel reactive instead of what it would feel if there was actually a plan and there is little alignment or clarity around the company’s future vision. If your director or head of department doesn't like you, well good luck! No matter how effective your work is, if you bring in results they will also put first their favorites. There is a mix of responsibilities, no clear structure with the result of cross functional collaboration being too difficult as 2 and more people will do the same work or none will do anything.

I was impacted by the recent layoffs. What truly shocked me was the way it was all handled. In the group of over 150 people 80+ were fired from Spain alone and this company couldn't care less and had 0 issues in firing pregnant woman or man going on paternity leave. Also, seeing your close colleagues getting promoted to the position you once had also added a "nice" flavour. Overall, I would really not recommend this company. New "leadership" came to rescue sinking ship by firing good people who were holding it together.
